Electronic Arts (EA) is struggling with both in-game and outside world nowadays. As you can recall, EA had banned Iranians from playing their new games. Iranian players couldn’t connect EA servers and reached out EA help. Eventually, nothing happened except the cold reaction of EA help services. Now EA is on the spotlight again. They have blacklisted a Youtuber regarding his negative review about Anthem.
Youtuber Gets Blacklisted
A Youtuber named Gggmanlives who lives in Australia uploaded Anthem content on Youtube. After 2 hours of its upload, the video couldn’t be reached anymore. According to Youtuber tweer after this event, EA blacklisted him because of the bad review regarding Anthem and deleted the video. Gggmanlives was also in EA Game Changers program where he was creating sponsored contents for EA.
Anthem Review Problem
Anthem already has a major problem in terms of reviews. The game couldn’t pass the score of 6.5 in overall on most of the important platforms. With this pressure, EA’s strategy towards its own program members is not looking so smooth. After all, EA blacklisted a Youtuber. End of the day, a negative review could be helpful to develop the game through a better, stabilized stance. Other problems like Iran, may be caused by the USA’s foreign diplomacy. But this one is pure on EA.
