Xbox One Backward Compatibility Adds Two Games

Xbox One Backward Compatibility Adds Two Games

The list of Xbox 360 games that can be played on Xbox One grows a little further today, with two new games being added.

Doom 3 BFG Edition, the re-release of id Software’s Doom 3 that came out in 2012, is now playable on Xbox One via the console’s Backward Compatibility feature.

Also playable on Xbox One is Monaco, which is a 2D stealth action co-op video game from developers Pocketwatch Games. The game features four different campaigns with eight characters, and all have different abilities. The game lets players intervene in different locations, where players have to avoid guards and steal the loot.

The reveal was made via a tweet from Major Nelson aka Larry Hryb, director of programming at Microsoft.

As with other backward-compatible games, if you own or purchase a digital copy of either game, it’ll now show in up in the “Ready to Download” list of the Xbox One’s My Games and Apps area. Physical copies can be popped into the system’s disc drive and, following a small download, can be played just like any other game.
