“After 20 years, we are remastering and re-imagining the original System Shock. We will keep the new game true to the classic experience, keeping all the things you loved, while updating the user interface and graphics to use a modern day engine (Unity).”
According to its official site, System Shock Remastered is currently in development for Steam and Xbox One.
Developed in Unity, this remake seeks to “keep the new game true to the classic experience, keeping all the things you loved, while updating the user interface and graphics to use a modern day engine.” To do that, Night Dive has recruited System Shock’s original concept artist, Robert Waters.
System Shock Remastered will be Night Dive’s first semi-original game. Prior to this, the small studio specialised in remastering older titles like Turok, Strife, The 7th Guest, Bad Mojo and more.
