Not Quite Whole
South Park: The Fractured but Whole has been delayed again. The latest delay was announced during Ubisoft’s earnings report earlier this week. The publisher did not specify a reason for the delay. The latest adventure from Matt Stone and Trey Parker is now set to arrive sometime between April 2017 and March 2018.
Ubisoft commented on the delay through their blog stating, “The teams at South Park and Ubisoft San Francisco are committed to pushing the envelope during development to deliver the best experience possible, and this additional time will allow them to do so.”
The Fractured but Whole has now seen multiple delays. Originally slated for a Dec. 7, 2016, release, Ubisoft pushed the release back to Q1 2017, with no clear reason as to why.
Multiple delays and South Park games go hand-and-hand these days. The Fractured but Whole’s predecessor, South Park: The Stick of Truth, saw multiple delays in four years of development. The Stick of Truth was eventually released in March 2014.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be available sometime in the next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
