Rockstar Releases Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Nick Coffman October 20, 2016 Gaming 2 After teasing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the last week, Rockstar Games has finally released their debut trailer for the highly anticipated sequel. The minute long trailer doesn’t offer much in the matter of setting, plot, or characters. The trailer does highlight the beautiful world, filled with lavish mountains and dense forests. Settlers appear, riding a canoe across a lake, hinting at the ability to traverse water. A small settlement and a coal powered engine make an appearance as well, giving us a glimpse at life in the west. Along with the settlers of the west, the trailer also features the wildlife of the world. A herd of bison surrounds a set of tracks, as they march on with an approaching steam engine. A gang of vultures picks apart a carcass, as a hunting dog growls in their direction. A hunter collects his latest kill, draping a dead doe across his horse. There’s only one spoken line throughout the trailer. An unknown character declares, “Listen to me. When the time comes, you gotta run and don’t look back. There’s no hope.” Spoken as an oil field catches fire, the trailer then ends with a posse stampeding towards a town. On their site Rockstar describes Red Dead Redemption 2 as an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Fall 2017. Share It!
