Sony has released a brand new system software update for the PS4 today. This update adds a minor increment to the firmware and judging from the changelog, it improves the system performance.
PS4 system software 4.05 weighs in at roughly 300MB.
This is the second time this month that Sony has released a stability-focused update for the PS4.
PS4 Pro is releasing next month. This console, which features 1 TB hard drive and extra processing power, will sell for $400.
Owners of the original console don’t have to worry since Sony promises to support both platforms in the foreseeable future. There won’t be any exclusive Pro games. Plans can change, but it’s unlikely to happen very soon.
