As of Nov 22nd Sony Sold over 30.2 million PS4’s, making it Sony’s best selling console in their history.
The PS4 launched on 11/15/13, making it just shy of 2 years to reach this impressive achievement.
Sony’s best selling console was the PS2. The PS1 sold 100 million consoles in its 9 year lifetime. The PS2 broke records selling 155 million consoles in its 12 year lifespan. Surprisingly the PS3 is trailing behind both at 80 million.
Sony claims the PS4, “continues to demonstrate the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation hardware history.”
Group chief executive at PlayStation, Andrew House Commented: “We are 
sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago.”
“We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”
