Playdead Back to the Drawing Board
Inside may have just hit PCs and consoles this past summer, but that hasn’t stopped Playdead from looking ahead to the future. The developer of Limbo and Inside recently took to Twitter to give fans a glimpse of their third title.
In the image released, a figure walks through the desert as an object in the background crashes towards the surface.
Thanks for your warm reception of INSIDE. Since release, Playdead founder Arnt Jensen and the team have been working on the next adventure. pic.twitter.com/RfejnH39mR

If Limbo and Inside are any indications, it’s likely the new title won’t see release for awhile. Playdead is no stranger to long development cycles, with both Limbo and Inside taking six years of development. A similar cycle would put this new untitled project out around 2021.
