Nintendo Switch is 2 Years Old!

Popular console Nintendo Switch released worldwide on March 3, 2017. After 2 years and a little more, the console is now 2 years old. Through these 2 years, Nintendo Switch succeed unquestionably. The console is quite popular in the USA and Japan, as well as in Europe.

Since Nintendo Switch release to February 9, 2019, the console approximately sold 31 million units worldwide. Most units are sold in the USA with 11 million. In Europe, Nintendo Switch sold almost 8.5 million units. Japan comes third with 7 million sales.

Best-selling Console In The USA

Nintendo Switch constantly gained momentum after its release. Finally, in January 2019, console managed to be the best-selling console in the USA. Nintendo Switch’s strategy and its prestige reflected on sales. The console passed PS4 and Xbox One even though these platforms have some solid exclusive games like Resident Evil 2 or Kingdom Hearts III. Nintendo also trying to mix up popular genres like battle royale and their old games, like Tetris Battle Royale. And it’s so far so good.

Being best-selling console in Japan for twelve months in a row is not a surprise for Nintendo Switch because it is a Japan firm’s console. In addition, the console already managed to be top seller console in the USA. In the past two months, in January and February 2019 Nintendo switch is still the best-selling console in Japan. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is the best-selling Nintendo Switch game in Japan.
