The “Mike Tyson’s Punch Out” endurance Challenge

Hello retro gamers. Today I’m here with a challenge for fans of Mike Tyson’s Punch Out. Lets go over the details of my challenge.

It doesn’t matter if your a seasoned vet at Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, or a rusty old person who just loves the game like me.

I challenge to dust off that NES cartridge or load up your emulators. Its okay if you have the non Mike Tyson version, but there is nothing like the original.

The challenge consist of a simple endurance match. Start by pushing over Glass Joe, and from there see how far you can go.

After you put your skills to the test let us know how you fared. You can do so in the comment section below, on GT USA’s website, any of our social media accounts, or you can make your own video.

I’m a little embarrassed by the result of my playthrough. I tore through the first 2 circuits with no problem. I remembered most of the fighters patterns better than I expected. The controls on my wired Xbox 360 are a little looser than the stiff direction pad on the NES controller, but it different effect my game play to bad.

I didn’t do to bad for being so rusty. I thought I had Soda Pop in the bag. Once I took a couple hits it was like I lost my ability to stick and move. I totally got my butt handed to me in that fight. I was at least hoping to make it to Sandman.

So I sucked at my own challenge. I’ll admit it. Now its your turn to try and see if you can do better. Please let us know how you did on any of GT USA’s networks that allow commenting. Hopefully you do better than I did.
