Starting October 26th, Pokemon Go players will be able to score some Halloween goodies thanks to an in-game event that will run through November 1st.

There will also be an increased chance to encounter ‘spooky’ Pokémon, namely being Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Zubat, Golbat, Drowzee, and Hypno.

“It’s been incredible watching people explore their neighborhoods and catch wild Pokemon all summer,” Niantic senior product manager Tatsuo Nomura said in a statement. “We would like to trick-or-treat in our own special way by giving Trainers the chance to catch more Pokemon and earn extra Candy this Halloween.”

With the playerbase of Pokémon Go steadily shrinking over the months since it launched, limited time events like this week’s Halloween-themed excursion could be a good way to lure people back to the experience. There’s no word on what other events Niantic might be planning for the future.
