Even though I have been somewhat paying attention to the building VR race, it occurred to me that I have paid zero to no attention to the Oculus Rift. From the beginning I’ve kind of felt like the Rift doesn’t stand a chance. The PS VR’s competitive prices are giving PlayStation the advantage, even though it showed up late to the race. Since the HTC Vive is backed by Valve, I’m more interested in it. While the Oculus is supported on Steam, it is backed by Facebook. I have never once replied to one of FB annoying notifications for their stupid Jelly Bean Squash games. I don’t take FB seriously when it comes to gaming at all. Our website has a free arcade to, what now Facebook?
So the Oculus Rift hasn’t gotten as much attention, but it is a competitor in the Virtual Reality market. I’m pretty sure at least a couple people have bought one, and it is compatible with Steam. So I figured we should take some time out to look over what games are cool on the OR. This VR race is still just getting started. Just because something is loosing in a race, it still stands a chance at a comeback until the race has been won.
Please note that this is not a top ten list, and the games are in no specific order. All of the games I’ve selected to feature are playable on Steam. I’ll leave a link to the games source pages on Steam, along with Steams prices.

This was my 3rd post on VR games this week. The world of Virtual Reality has been around for a while now, but the price of equipment has caused many VR games to go unnoticed. First I covered The Top 10 Games That Support HTC Vive, then I created a PlayStation VR Launch Games List 2 days ago. Since many games that are supported for the Oculus Rift are also on Vive & PS VR, I decided to use what I think are the best games that weren’t on either of the previous lists I created this week.
I hope this VR article series I put together this week helped enlighten some of you on what the new world of Virtual Reality has to offer. VR technology has been attempted before in the past, and failed hard. This time it looks like VR is serious, and ready to stick around for a while. A whole lot of money has been invested in this technology.
Could we be witnessing an evolution in video games right before our eyes with this new virtual reality trend? Is it a trend, or here to stay? These 3 competitors are working hard to take the VR market. Who do you think will come out on top? Its a very exciting time in the video game industry indeed. Let us know what you think in the comments below, or on any social network you found this post on.
