Don’t Starve Expansion Comes to Consoles Nightingale Silva April 11, 2016 Gaming, News Players of Don’t Starve on both the PS4 and Xbox One will have a little something to look forward to come this spring. The game’s Shipwrecked expansion will be arriving on both major consoles this spring and will bring boats, oceans, islands and more to your already expansive gameplay. The lead writer over at Capybara Games (the creator of the Shipwrecked DLC) Dan Vader recently announced via PlayStation Blog that the expansion would be coming to PS4. He says of the game “Hop in a sailboat and chart new corners of the mysterious archipelago, paddle a raft through the crashing waves and shout “Land Ho!” when you spot a newly discovered jungle island, find treasure maps that lead to buried riches, or fire cannons at pursuing sea monsters or schools of surface-slicing fins. To us, the rich mythos of shipwreck and pirate castaway lore was a perfect fit for Don’t Starve’s survival gameplay, and the expansion into seafaring offers a new set of challenges to established players.” The announcement that it would arrive on the Xbox One as well, came to use via Twitter. The Shipwreck expansion costs $4.99 right now on Steam, so it’s safe to assume it’ll be the same on the consoles. No specific release date has been given for the console releases. Share It!
