Here is one of my all-time favorite games on the Super Nintendo, Donkey Kong Country. I figured since it is one of my favorites, I would review it. So let’s jump in, shall we?
So we will start with the graphics. This game’s graphics at the time of its release were considered top of the line. I would say that it is some of the best I’ve seen in an SNES game. As someone who enjoys NES, graphics don’t matter too much to me, but these graphics really do stand out.
Next I think we should talk about storyline. The story itself is pretty good. But throughout the other Donkey Kong Country games for SNES, I think the story gets better.
Next let’s talk about controls. Every good game needs solid controls. These controls are as solid as a rock. They left games like Super Mario Bros. in the dust because of the new attacks and weapons you could use.
Controls – 10/10
Next are the game’s characters. Every good game needs some pretty awesome characters. This game has two of the very best characters that Nintendo has created. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.
And lastly, the multiplayer mode in the game. It has an amazing multiplayer mode. One of my favorite sidescrollers with multiplayer is the Donkey Kong Country trilogy.
Now for my closing statement, and my score for the game as a whole, I would give Donkey Kong Country for the SNES is a 9 out of 10. The story makes you fall in love with the game, the graphics stand out, the controls are solid, and multiplayer guarantees that you will have fun with others.
