Daredevil has officially been renewed for a third season by Netflix, Marvel’s head of TV Jeph Loeb announced unexpectedly during Luke Cage‘s Comic-Con panel on Thursday.

Daredevil fans have been growing increasingly nervous about whether the critically acclaimed series would be getting another series following its second. Having debuted March 2016, Daredevil’s second season was met enthusiastically as its episodes introduced characters such as Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthall) and Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung).
As recently as last month, star Charlie Cox stated that he was unsure of the show’s future. “We don’t know if there’s going to be a season three,” he told the Independent. “I certainly don’t know.”
