Get your RTS Fix with Civilization
Xbox’s Larry Hryb took to Twitter earlier this week to announce the newest additions to the Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility program. Both Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet are now playable on Xbox One.
Take a break from the mounds of shooters in you back catalog and jump into the action of Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution. From the RTS mastermind of Sid Meier, Civilization Revolution puts players in control of some of history’s greatest leaders. With 16 different civilizations, each with its own leader, players will find numerous ways to build up their settlement.
Starting out as a lone settler, players will set out to build their empire. Harvest food, build up your population and trade with neighboring villages as you work towards establishing your settlement. As your settlement grows, players will build up armies, research technology, and prepare for war with any opposition. Once players have conquered the AI enemies, they can jump online and battle it out with friends across multiple modes.
Those needing to scratch their RTS itch can get Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution for $8.99 this week.
Jump back into the Summer of Arcade glory days with Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Battle bizarre creatures as you explore a mysterious alien planet. Collect power-ups and solve puzzles as you gain access to new areas of the world. Once the main story is completed, players can jump into both local multiplayer and matchmaking and fight aliens with the help of a friend.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is currently available for $9.99.
