The upcoming big screen revival of the Bad Boys movie series has hit a new delay, as Sony has put the film back by nearly a year.

“Bad Boys for Life,” the Joe Carnahan-directed third film in the action franchise which was originally planned for a January 12th 2018 release, the film will now open almost a full year later on November 9th 2018. The Matthew McConaughey-led “White Boy Rick” will take over its old January slot.

A fourth film in the franchise is also still believed to be in the works, but it will no longer target the previously-announced May 24, 2019 release date.

The date changes were revealed by industry analysts Exhibitor Relations. They tweeted:
