Upcoming 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee will be released on 11 April 2017 developer Playtonic Games has announced.

Costing £35 / US $40, the colorful platformer will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux–though the Wii U version has been cancelled.

For Wii U owners who backed the game’s Kickstarter campaign last year, they’ll be able to move their pledge to another platform or request a complete refund early next year. However, Playtonic Games have hinted that they’re planning on also bringing Yooka-Laylee to the Wii U’s successor, the Nintendo Switch. Further details around that version of the game and how Wii U backers can switch their pledge will be announced early next year.

In a blog post, Playtonic stated, “Despite our best efforts and exploring every possible avenue, we’ve encountered unforeseen technical issues that unfortunately mean it will be impossible for us to release the game on Wii U as initially planned.”

“We can however confirm the exciting news that we are now working very closely with Nintendo to look to bring Yooka-Laylee to the upcoming Nintendo Switch. We’re looking forward to exploring the opportunity and will have more details to share early next year.”

That’s not all either. We also got a new trailer for the game today that showcases the brand new Capital Cashino world. You can check it out below:
