Remedy Entertainment and Microsoft have pushed away all the negative remarks they got by the critics with impressive Quantum Break sales. The game has now become the best new IP launch in the life of Xbox One!
This was confirmed by Microsoft itself a couple of hours ago.
“We’re delighted that Quantum Break has been so well received by fans and critics, it’s a testament to the hard work, ambition and commitment of the team at Remedy that the game is already surpassing expectations,” said Jon Edney of Xbox Studios. “The game has already built up a passionate fanbase and we look forward to seeing and hearing about their experiences in Riverport.”
Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break has also become the first Microsoft-published game to reach the top of the UK sales chart since Halo 5: Guardians was released in November 2015.
According to data supplies by sales monitor Chart-Track, the Xbox One and PC exclusive narrowly beat out competition from Codemasters’ Dirt Rally, which made its debut on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
DiRT Rally still did very well though, with sales up 197 per cent from 2012’s DiRT Showdown and behind only the opening weeks of Colin McRae DiRT 2 and 3.
