No E3 for EA

EA has decided that they would prefer their own venue rather than attend E3. They have pulled out of E3 in favor of their own events in Los Angeles and London that will be open to the public.

So rather than setting up a booth for the trade show, they will be hosting EA Play June 12 to June 14 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. There will also be an even June 12 in London at The Mermaid Event Center in London.

EA still plans on having a press release to discuss trailers and information on their most aticipated games (Mass Effect comes to mind) however rather than the regular Monday before E3 they will be hosting this on Sunday during EA Play

“We are taking our commitment to put our players first further this year by creating a play experience built around them,” an EA representative told me this morning. “Hosting our own event allows us to connect directly with our players and create a meaningful experience for them.”

One can only hope that those of us who cannot attend their singular event still get the information we are looking forward to for the games.
