Tumblr & Reddit are GT USA’s 2 newest social media platforms we are trying out. While I wish we had started a Tumblr account long ago, I’m finding Reddit to be a huge waste of time.
In a month of being on both networks, we have had 1 post interaction on Reddit. It seems like Reddit has a really cool gamer following. But besides feeling like I have completed wasted my time posting there the last month, I don’t even really like the interface.
On Tumblr we’ve only connected to 158 bloggers so far. What’s really impressive is that we’re already getting more post interactions on Tumblr then G+, and it has close to 1,5oo followers in our circle.
So far I really like Tumblr. It has an excellent gamer following, I love the interface, and its very easy to navigate. I rarely use hashtags on social networks because I think they make your post’s look tacky. On Tumblr, the tag feature in the bottom of the posting section is so convenient. I would describe Tumblr as a hybrid website/ social network.
So after this months exploration in social networking, Tumblr gets 2 thumbs up, while Reddit gets a stinky thumb down. If you have a Tumblr account please follow GT USA Here.
Like on all of our social pages, we always try to follow back. You can also find GT USA on FaceBook, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitch, and Linkedin.
